Dessalines is ALIVE

Postby jafrikayiti* » Sat Oct 07, 2006 4:23 pm

I am currently in the land of our ancestors. This afternoon I saw the Pyramids of Djoser, Kufu, Kafre, The Sphinx and lo and behold, at the feet of the pyramid of Djoser - The first Pyramid maker stood a simple text on the granite JEAN-JACQUES DESSALINES AYITI.

Yes, 200 years ago, on October 17, 1806, the Father of modern African Liberty and Dignity, His Majesty Jean-Jacques Dessalines was assassinated by Uncle Toms in Haiti. As I looked upon the works of Pharaoh Djoser, I could only see the link between these two great Africans. The one who built the pyramid of Stone was the Father of the greatest civilisation humans have ever known. The one who sacrificed his life for the creation of Haiti, has erected for us the Eternal Pyramid of FREEDOM. The first time ever in human history an enslaved people arose, broke their chains and in battle defeated their oppressors, chased them from the land and created a true land of the free.

Haiti, like much of Africa today possess in their history all we need to rediscover the greatest of human potential - and for the most noble of causes - as exemplified by the legacies of giants like DJOSER, KUFU, KAFRE, DESSALINES. Let us make sure we do our part to help revive this passion for greatmess in the present and future generations.

We are a people (Africans) with thousands of years of recorded history. We are a race (humanity) of six billion geniuses. Fragile like eggs, our individual lives can also be the vessel through which timeless constructions are made. Let them be constructions that inspire creativty, vitality, sacredness, freedom.....Let us have all the principles of MAAT embodied in our DNA build for our children and their children children, a new civilization.

Let Jean-Jacques Dessalines be with us, today and forevermore.

HOTEP ! AYIBOBO !

Your brother, humbled, blessed and inspired in the motherland,

Jafrikayiti
