Facebook? You have got to be kidding. Now I have to join the 21st century, start "social networking"?
I mentioned this new WOH Facebook thing to my daughter who told me I may be older than the average Facebook person . I told her that getting older is not an option if one stays alive, however, maturity is optional so hook me up !

Dunord! It's been a while... The last time I heard from you, you were urging me to start a podcast. I filed the idea, but do not feel ready yet to commit to it. But if you were interested in the idea and technology of podcasting, then "Facebook" should feel perfectly natural to you, especially since you are still a youngster (in my eyes).

How's life in the City of Cap-Haitien these days?

Sadly we are only spending summers in Haiti now, though I do return a few other times during the year. Okap is trying to keep the streets clean and everyone is wondering when the new electrical generating station will be working all the time. It's a beautiful installation but needs to be operating.
People are worried about the economy in the USA, the lack of funds from family is hurting a lot of people but everyone believes Obama will "fix everything" or be assassinated. People look for work or an advantage, kids who are lucky go to school and almost everyone would love to have a visa. In other words it is as it has been for years and years though I can say the the security situation has improved in the last year.
People remain hopeful, resigned to fate or in some cases angry. Not much has changed in that respect but we still have fun.
