Senou, I heard about the way Haitians helped in Savannah a lot!
Is it really true?
Remember it was the french who are considered as the benefactors! How come they do not mention Haitians? Is it documented?
Perhaps, Africans helped because they were still SLaves? They were forced to help the French...
By the way, we can not force someone to either be Grateful or ungrateful! There is no grateful Pills! It is one's choices.
The reason why I am skeptical about that claim is, I don't know if there were Haitian Slaves, correct me if I'm wrong!
When did the Battle of Savannah happen?
Haiti has its Independence in 1804!
Our Forefathers were mostly Africans (born). Only a handful was born in Haiti during that time.
I remember being challenged by someone in class when I came with this subject.
Perhaps, Marilyn could help with that one???
