According to latest info received by HLLN Preval went to the National Palace, presented the de facto president Alexandre with copies of official reports proving that he had won the election.

Here's the details:
"...Under pouring rain, Preval arrived at the national palace. The people had heard that he would be there and had come in spite of the rain to accompany Preval by standing guard around the palace.

The rumors were that Preval would be asked to tell the people to go home, since Latortue's call did not move the people earlier.

Preval did indeed get to the national palace. The de facto president, prime minister, CEP, ambassadors and MINUSTHA high brass were at hand.

Preval calmly went in, presented de facto president Alexandre with copies of official reports proving that he had won the election. He refused to make any other statem
ent.

According to Radio Panou correspondent Frantzy St Juste, when Preval calmly turned to leave the room, you could hear the
jaws fall.

Preval headed back to the MINUSTHA helicopter that had taken him to the Palace from Marmelade and was prevented from waving to the crowd by the MINUSTHA military. He still managed to give them a thumbs-up. They left and no one knows their destination.

K-Plim called upon the CEP and those jeopardizing the sovereignty of Haiti to accept the fact that all Haitians and the world know, that Rene Preval was the elected president.
