We've walked so far and gained so little ground. Can the weight of prejudice ever be lifted? One African-American woman in North Carolina, not of Haitian origin, found out very recently that when it comes to Haiti, all bets are off. Coming back from vacation, she resumed her normal activities and so doing, signed up to give blood at a local Blood Bank as usual. She mentioned her vacation and when asked where she went, she replied that her cruise had stopped at "Labadee". You must know where "LABADIE" is located, right? She was then denied the opportunity to give of her blood to save the life of another human being.
