Urge Gov. Charlie Crist to grant asylum to newly arrived Haitian refugees

Post by Guysanto » Mon Apr 23, 2007 10:22 pm

I urge you to sign this petition.

This petition will be submitted to the Florida Governor in order to request that the Haitian refugees be granted asylum. Please join the fight for social justice, humanity, and equality for all refugees.

On March 28th, 2007, a group of 102 Haitians migrated to the American soil. These people have been kept in Jail since then. One of the refugees has died and the funeral was on Saturday, April 21, 2007. A young Haitian Activist named Henry Petit-Homme did a 15 days hunger strike to protest the unjust policy of the US toward Haitian refugees.

I beg on everyone to take the time and sign this petition. Please forward this petition to your email list as well. The goal is 50,000 signatures to demand Governor Charlie Crist to take some action and grant asylum to the Haitians.
