I went to Yahoo Photos to look at some pictures. It looks pretty bad. Around 14 people have died and this is a provisional number. There seems to have been a lot of flooding and material destruction. Today, everything was pretty closed down in port-au-Prince , lots of electrical wires on the ground and motorists bein very careful not to get electrocuted.
All in all , as usual, the south seems to have gotten quite a hit. We will have to wait the final estimates, but it is not going to look good at all. As if we needed that now. Meanwhile, those jockers, as Jaf calls them - he is being very kind I would say - in Port-au-Prince who call themselves politicians, senators and deputies are still busy "negotiating" for positions in the cabinet, arguing, while the people are suffering. Let us hope they finally see the light, even if it is a candlelight...
